Landor Street Grade Separation

Building upon SG3’s success in helping SDOT improve performance on previous projects, we were engaged as the utility coordination lead for the design and construction of the $140M Lander Street Grade separation. Completed during the summer of 2020, this critical Move Seattle transportation improvement eases severe traffic congestion and improves public safety along a vital urban arterial. The new bridge elevates vehicle and pedestrian traffic over a multitrack rail crossing zone. A key challenge was that the bridge footprint lies runs parallel with and directly over a critical underground utility corridor with large-capacity sewer and storm water conveyance facilities.
